La sombra que persigue - Wise up.

El estreno de Magnolia en 1999 y su posterior aclamación a nivel de crítica, me impulsó a ver esta película y me costó muchísimo entender las relaciones (in)conexas de los personajes. Visualmente me quedó para siempre la imagen de esa torrencial lluvia de ranas que cual piedras iban haciendo innumerables destrozos. La otra secuencia fijada en mí memoria fue esa bella canción de Aimee Mann y como varios de los protagonistas cantaban dolorosamente sus líneas, clamando tener esa sabiduría para entenderse y perdonarse. Si Paul Thomas Anderson tiene en Magnolia su mejor obra, Aimee Mann tiene en Wise Up su mejor canción.
